5 Reasons to Add a Face Oil in Your Daily Skincare Routine

If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s the importance of self-care. And while self-care means something a little different to everyone, for many people it manifests itself into a lengthy skincare routine to help us release the stress and show our skin some love. As a result, we’re always on the lookout for some wonderful techniques to amp up our skincare and self-care routine.

If there’s one skincare product that helped my skin unlike any other, it’s a facial oil. I totally understand for some people face oils can seem a little scary skincare product, especially if you have oily or acne-prone skin, but incorporating a facial oil into your daily skincare routine is one of the best things you can do – and my skin is living proof of that!

When I started my skincare journey and began to discover different skincare products, I was hooked by the healing powers of facial oils. I realized that I had been using so many harsh ingredients on my face that actually stripped and damaged my skin, and ultimately, put my sebaceous glands into overdrive to compensate for the lack of moisture I was depriving my skin of. Cutting back on the number of harsh products I was using and adding a facial oil really helped heal, hydrate, and restore my skin.

Let me tell you the five of many reasons why I love using Facial Oils

1. Facial Oils can be used by all skin types

Contrary to popular opinion, almost all skin types can benefit from a facial oil, you just need to find the right oil! Even if you have oily or acne-prone skin it can still be dehydrated, and facial oils are a highly efficient way of giving your skin that surge of moisture it’s craving.

2. It’s my secret to Glowing, Dewy Skin

We all know that the secret to glowing, dewy skin is hydration, hydration, hydration, and face oils are amazing for delivering a powerful hit!

3. Facial Oils can help restore uneven tone and texture

If you’re looking to even out skin tone and texture or reduce the appearance of dark spots or post-inflammatory pigmentation (PIP), then adding a face oil into your daily skincare routine is a no-brainer.

4. Facial Oil keeps my Skin Supple, Plump, and Silky Smooth

I always want my skin to look plump and smooth, and the easiest way to achieve that is by using a bomb facial oil. Facial Oils can help stimulate collagen production and strengthen skin elasticity. Also, they protect the skin from free radical damage that can otherwise lead to fine lines.

5. Face Oils are Great for Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Anyone who knows me and follows me on Instagram will know that I’m obsessed with lymphatic drainage massage, and every time I apply a Facial Oil, I give myself a little face massage. Lymphatic drainage (lymphatic fluid helps remove waste and toxins from your tissues) is the process of encouraging drainage via your lymph nodes using your hands with a special massage technique. Not only does it encourage the absorption of your facial oil, but it reduces inflammation in the skin, can help with puffiness, and it can also help to tone and sculpt the natural contours of your face. It’s also super relaxing!

How I Like to Use Vasu Facial Beauty Oil

Possibly one of my favorite things about this oil is the texture; it’s perfect for doing facial massage and glides on to the skin so beautifully, but it also absorbs into the skin without leaving a greasy layer. Here are some ways you can use Get Even Rose Oil:

    1. Apply after your moisturizer first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Don’t be afraid to apply liberally to both your face and décolleté.

    2. Gently massage into your skin with upward strokes with clean fingers until fully absorbed.

    3. Apply after a day in the sun to replenish and nourish your skin.

    4. Use the oil with your favorite facial roller or Gua Sha to enhance the application experience, boost microcirculation, aid lymphatic drainage, and encourage skin absorption.

    5. If you have combo or oily skin, for daytime, mix two drops with your fave lightweight moisturizer to boost hydration, and massage into skin.

    6. For a dewy glow, add one or two drops of Vasu Facial Beauty Oil to your fave foundation
